Job Summary:
As part of Institutional Development Award (IDeA) Grant project entitled, “A Community Based High Intensity Interval Training Exercise Effects on Cardiovascular Health and Autonomic Function in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus”, the Department of Doctor of Physical Therapy, Franklin Pierce University are seeking productive and motivated research assistant.What You’ll Do
• Assists with recruitment and screening of study participants
• Assist with keeping the modality and research instruments clean
• Co-ordinate with community YMCA partners for exercise session scheduling
• Assist blood pressure assessment and Heart Rate data collection
• Assist with documentation and data entry
• Assist exercise prescription and submaximal exercise test
Experience and Qualifications:
• A student in good professional behavior and academic standing maintaining at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Interested students should not have any history of academic probation or other professional behavior record action from the university.
• Willing to work 5 hours a week (mostly at YMCA and few hours on DPT NH campus)
• Clear communication with research participants, YMCA partners, and faculty
• Willing to be posted for first clinicals within surrounding places and travel for work
Special Notes:
• Apply for RA position by mid-to-late June
• Interview in June
• Position will be offered during Term 4
• Once the position is confirmed, students need to have paperwork and training prior to being completely enrolled into the position
Schedule:
Terms IV (Summer 2026) and/or Fall/Winter 2026/2027
Wednesday and Friday, 5 hours per week.
